About

Fountain Initiative for Social Development (FISD) is a not-for-profit social enterprise, established in 2014. It provides professional services to stimulate necessary development in underprivileged communities.
FISD works to enhance quality and affordable education; promote entrepreneurship and employability among youths. 
FISD operates in a challenging economic environment. According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), Nigeria’s unemployment rate rose from 14.2% to 18.8% in 2017. Additionally, the quality of the country’s educational system has deteriorated and there is a lack of sufcient investment to meet the burgeoning school-age population. These challenges affect the long-term social development and growth of the country.
